Why I Love Heather Halsall and Julia Petrasso (and Why You Will Too)

Let’s start with Julia Petrasso. Julia is pure fire. She’s got a strong, determined work ethic that leaves me honestly wondering: what can’t she do?

She’s an attorney, a mom of three, holding down a household and running a yoga business. If that’s not superhero energy, I don’t know what is. And even with all that on her plate, Julia still shows up with a heart wide open — she’s incredibly caring and welcoming to everyone she meets. When she teaches, it’s fast, fiery, and flowy. She moves you quickly enough that there’s no time for that annoying mental chatter to creep in and hijack your practice. You just move — and in doing so, you find yourself. Her classes are a perfect storm of heat, heart, and hustle, and I always leave feeling stronger, clearer, and way more connected.
Then there’s Heather Halsall. Heather is the realest of the real. She has a no-bullshit, ego-free approach to yoga that I absolutely admire. Heather doesn’t care about the noise, the trends, the

performative yoga stuff — she’s in it for the practice, and it shows. She would never brag about it or even let it show, but she’s a total bookworm who knows her yoga inside and out. Her classes are always beautifully paced, her sequences incredibly creative and thoughtful. Nothing about her teaching ever feels cookie-cutter — it’s all intentional, it’s all deeply rooted, and it’s all hers. And, let’s be honest, Heather could teach anyone — and she does. She teaches one of the most challenging high school populations out there: Special Ed. (Seriously, if you know, you know. That job is not for the faint of heart.) She’s also a mom to two grown kids who are amazing, driven humans in their own right. Fun fact: Heather and I finished our RYT-500 together at Asheville Yoga Center. She was even gracious enough to share her campground space (and at one point, her literal lap) with me when I didn’t have a chair. (It’s not what it sounds like… or maybe it is?) Either way, that’s just Heather — generous, funny, and always there when you need her.
Together, Heather and Julia embody everything I want from a yoga experience: strength, heart, honesty, and that little spark of wildness that keeps things interesting. I can’t imagine a better duo to help reset, recharge, and rise into the new season.
That’s why we are doing this Spring Reset together. All of Greenville’s favorite teachers’ favorite teachers — in one space, on a beautiful spring day, doing yoga, setting intentions, and learning and growing from each other. And the best part? You can be in bed by 9 p.m. Seriously, what else could you want? So what are you waiting for? You read this far, sign up already.
